Confidential communications

Do you have confidential information to share with the Mechanism about serious international crimes committed in Myanmar?

You can send it to us in any language or format.

Please contact us only on Signal and Proton Mail because this will keep your identity and information most secure. We understand that accessing Signal or Proton Mail in Myanmar can be challenging, so please wait until it is safe and possible for you to do so.

  • Download the Signal app to message us at +41 76 691 12 08

  • Or create a free Proton Mail account and email us at contact@myanmar-mechanism.org. Please avoid using any other email accounts to send us confidential information.

For your safety:

  • Please wait until you are alone, and it is safe to communicate with us.

  • Do not tell anyone that you are contacting us.

  • Tell us if you have security concerns. We will only contact you if it is safe to do so.

  • Do not save our Signal number or Proton Mail address in your contacts. On Signal, delete your message after sending and delete your chat after the interaction is over. On Proton Mail, delete your message after sending and do not forget to empty your trash.

Your safety and privacy are our priority – we do not share your information, or any details about your identity, without your consent.
